As we come to the last few weeks running up to the show some good news. Ireland Bridge which has cast a shadow over the event for the last 2 years with the threat of closure on Show day is to re-open on June 28th. This will make access from the south so much easier.

The closure this last 6 months has been a real problem for people on both sides of this very important link bridge and everyone in Bingley, Harden, Cullingworth and surrounding areas will be glad the disruption is over. Although the show is a one day event the fact that all normal access routes are available to us leading up to the show, and on the day, is very good news.

Once again the threat of closure has meant there will be only a limited number of horses at this year’s show. This was the same for 2009 and by having a very varied program in the main ring we overcame the problem with almost everyone agreeing that we had put on a really entertaining day. This has made us confident that 2010 will be another great year for Bingley Show.

New to the main ring will be a crazy clown feature sure to entertain the kids and no doubt cheer us all up. Then for older children a motorbike display team are back. In the past these have been a popular spectacle and the noise and thrills will once again wow the crowds. Added to this the old favourites, the sheep dog display, falconry, heavy horses, and a Riding for the disabled demonstration plus many more attractions will make for a great day out.
