The Bingley Show’s show jumping is held in the bottom meadow with its amazing view and riverside location.
Our entries over the past 7 years have grown with many recognisable names such as, Joe Whitaker, Paul Barker, Alison Barton, Tracey Newman and Keith Shaw becoming familiar faces year on year and with an increase in international names, we couldn’t be happier.
Our first class of the day is at 8.30am in the main ring and is for our novices and up and coming horses and riders, these first two classes see many local riders taking part who always appreciate your support.
Our bigger classes start around 4pm in the main ring and this is when the intensity and excitement starts. Last year saw the crowd on the edge of their seats for the 1.30m class, as Joe Whitaker claimed victory, but only by hundreds of a second.
Although the Show jumping is a big crowd pleaser and enjoyed by all, the best seats to take in the pleasure of such a majestic sport is ringside in the Members Enclosure with the addition of a glass of wine or cup of Yorkshire tea. Why not have a look at the members page and join us there this year.
